This interesting engraving depicts large, fenced enclosures to hold elephants as part of the hunting process. In the foreground, an elephant is tied to two large tree trunks, while others are held in a roofed enclosure at far right. Engraved by Jacob van der Schley. This image was copied from an engraving in Francois Valentijn's Oud en Nieuw Oost-Indien.
