Decorative map of the Spanish region of Catalonia that covers the Mediterranean coastline from the French border via Barcelona to Tortosa. The splendid, allegorical cartouche at right shows Perseus about to decapitate the fearsome Medusa, and a figure representing Catalonia is kneeling before a monarch, to illustrate the surrender of Catalonia to Felipe V of Spain during the War of the Spanish Succession.

A sharp impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with a few spots of soiling, two small holes in the image, and a couple of stains at far left.
