This inventive engraving was drawn by Johann Degler and engraved by Joseph a Montelegre. This scene depicts a busy dock and harbor filled with exotic people and goods from around the world, reflecting the Dutch trade dominance. Two large galleons have sails labeled for the West India Company and the East India Company, while numerous other ships fill the sea in the background. The large warehouse at left has a sign that translates as: "The wealth of all nations is a reward and a gift." Four cherubs hold the charming baroque cartouche.
