This charming view is noted in the bottom right corner as "a facsimile (reduced) of the Old One by Ralph Aggas in the year 1560." It follows the Thames River from the Houses of Parliament east to the Tower of London illustrating streets, individual buildings, the city's fortified walls, and the surrounding countryside. Two legends at bottom locate important sites. Adorned by a decorative title cartouche and two coats of arms. Published by Petter & Calpin Cassell in London. Dissected and backed with contemporary linen.
