This sheet features a large plan of the city and harbor of Havana, showing the well protected harbor with its fortifications. Soundings and shoals are noted in the harbor. Numerous locations within the plan are identified by a lettered key at left. Below the key are three inset plans of forts shown in the main map. Bellin included a smaller version of the plan of Havana in his Petit Atlas Maritime. This large edition includes the engraved seal of the Depot de la Marine at bottom right and the price "Prix. dix huit Sols" below the neatline.

Condition: B+
A nice impression on watermarked paper with a small rust spot in the Castillo del Morro inset at left and a few other minor spots in map image. An edge tear just crossing the neatline at bottom has been closed on verso with archival tape, and there is light dampstaining in the right blank margin.
