This finely detailed map of Nevada County was compiled, published, and copyrighted by Harry Freese and distributed by Thomas Bros. in Oakland. The map spans from Camp Beale Military Reservation (before it became Beale Air Force Base) to the California-Nevada border. Lake Tahoe is shown from Meeks Bay north to Kings Beach. Among the cities identified are Truckee, Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Colfax. The legend identifies state highways, primary and secondary county roads, trails, railroads, national forest boundaries, sawmills, ranger stations, and more. Lays into green paper wrappers with a map of California with Nevada County highlighted and the price $1.
