Charming miniature map drawn by Tobias Lobeck and engraved by Tobias Conrad Lotter. The northwestern coast of North America stretches towards Asia and is labeled Terra Esonis. Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand are all partially delineated. The hemispheres are set in a minutely patterned background, and the map is engraved with an incredible amount of detail for it size, with some text and details small enough to require a loupe to read.

A sharp impression with full contemporary color. There are a couple of tiny worm holes that have been professionally repaired, and minor marginal soiling.
