This 199-page volume features 15 full-page route maps by Edward F. Korbell along with other illustrations and numerous advertisements. The first half of the volume lists the executive committee, various boards, rosters of state associations, motor vehicle laws, and a detailed year-by-year history of AAA since its founding in 1902. By 1907 the club had 8,857 members. The second half describes the association's seventh touring contest to highlight the reliability of vehicles and the need to improve roads. This contest started in Cincinnati and progressed southwest to Texas and Oklahoma before turning north to Iowa and on to Chicago in 15 days (or 2,851 miles). This was the first reliability tour outside the eastern states. The route each day is shown on a map and is documented in detail turn by turn. Photos along the way identify the road challenges confronting the contestants. Points were awarded for reliability and penalties were assigned for each auto fault. We found no examples of this 1910 edition on OCLC, and only 3 examples for a 1907 edition (the earliest an AAA publication appears). Printed wrappers.
