This handsome pictorial map of North America is densely filled with illustrations. Chase chose to emphasize grand structures on the map including state capitols and government buildings along with points of interest, agriculture, and wildlife (particularly in Canada). A few sites that caught this cataloger's eye were the Rockefeller Center in New York, the White House, Cotton Bowl in Texas, redwoods in California, an elaborate totem pole in British Columbia, gold dredge in Alaska, and Arctic Circle made from icicles. Additional medallion-shaped points of interest line the borders including Natural Bridge in Virginia, the Alamo, Great Mormon Tabernacle, Notre Dame in Montreal, and much more. The composition is completed by numerous ships in the oceans, airplanes, an elaborate compass rose, and decorative title cartouche. Signed by Chase in pencil at bottom.
