It is illustrated with 16 black & white images and a map of the first, second, and fourth Fremont expeditions. Translated from German and edited by Erwin G. and Elisabeth K. Gudde. Published by the University of Oklahoma Press. It is the 26th volume in the American Exploration and Travel Series. 162 pages. Hardbound in blue cloth with an illustrated dust jacket protected by Mylar. Condition: Text is faintly toned but otherwise fine, with light toning on the pastedown and endpapers. Covers have minor shelf wear. Dust jacket is lightly soiled and sunned with a few small tears. Ex libris. (B+)

This self-published study traces Fremont's route through Northern Colorado on his second expedition in July 1843. The book is illustrated throughout with contemporary maps and photographs (in color) showing the landscape that Fremont traversed. Additional photos are included on a DVD in an envelope at the back of the book. 137 pages. Soft illustrated covers. Condition: Text is clean and tight. Covers have very minor shelf wear. (A)
