This vellum indenture serves as testament to the transferal of ownership of 25 acres, 1 road and 8 parcels of land to Thomas Stephens of Northumberland, as designated in the last will and testament of his uncle, Charles Rutherford. Signed on August 24, 1790 by John Griffith, Deputy Clerk of the Halmot Court. The indenture includes a blue tax stamp.
