These maps were re-engraved for Jan Jansson's editions of the Atlas Minor, published in 5 editions between 1628-48. The copperplates for the original Atlas Minor editions published by Hondius were sold to parties in England between 1621-25. Jansson commissioned Pieter van den Keere and Abraham Goos to engrave new plates, which were close copies of the original editions. German text on verso.

A. Brescia Episcopatus Mediolanum Ducatus, (7.5 x 5.8"). A beautifully engraved small map covering Lombardy and the Lakes Garda and Como, naming cities of Milan, Bergamo, and Brescia among many others. It is decorated with a fine title and scale cartouche incorporated together.

B. Pedemontana Regio cum Genvensium Territorio & Montisferrati Marchionatu, (7.6 x 5.5"). Beautiful little map of Piedmont, Genoa and Montserrat depicting the rivers, mountainous topography, and cities of the region. The map is adorned with a simple title cartouche. Engraved by Pieter van den Keere with his Latinized name under the title cartouche.
