Towns, cities, and political divisions are identified, and Corsica, Sardinia, and Sicily are shown. An erupting Mount Etna is pictorially depicted and called M. Gibel. The map is flanked by 14 coats of arms, and the title cartouche is decorated by a figure in religious garb.
