A splendid map of Moravia centered roughly on Brno and filled with well-engraved mountains, forests, coats of arms and cities. An interesting aspect of this map is that a umber of towns are labeled in several languages. The map is dedicated to Andrea Bragadin within the elegant cartouche, and a skillfully composed scale of miles fills the lower right corner. Coronelli established the society of geographers, "Accademia degli Argonauta," one of the oldest in the world, and became the official geographer of the Venetian Republic.
