A striking regional map centered on Altenburg and extending to include Borna, Penig, Crimmitschau, Ronneberg and Gera. But the most interesting feature is the myriad of different symbols representing the cities, towns, churches, farms, postal stations, mines, mills, forests, etc. The large pictorial title cartouche includes a fine scene of a castle. Engraved by Tobias Conrad Lotter in his characteristic bold engraving style.
