Very attractive map of the region centered on Ghent, oriented with north to the right. Fully engraved to show forests, lowlands, cities, villages, roads and even windmills. Richly embellished with a title cartouche incorporating two coats of arms, a dedication cartouche with another herald, a strapwork distance scale and a compass rose. The map is dedicated to Jacobus Wiits. French text on verso, published between 1643-50.

A crisp impression with contemporary color in the map and possibly later color in the cartouches on a sheet with minor toning. There is a bit of printer's ink residue and marginal soiling.
