This intricate bird's-eye view of Mexico City shows the city from the same vantage as the classic Montanus view, with "the Aquaduct of 900 Arches" snaking through the center of the view and the Lake of Mexico off in the distance. Along with the aqueduct, nine other sites of interest are located by key, including the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, and a few convents. There is impressive architectural detail for a view of its size. Title appears in banner-style cartouche at top. A handsome view of the city during the era of Spanish colonialism.

A nice impression, trimmed to neatline. Margins have been extended with a sheet of old paper with a "J. Whatman 1811" watermark.
