This unusual sheet contains depictions of the world on four different projections. At center is a large double hemisphere map approximately centered on southeast Asia. Surrounding the main map are smaller images showing polar projections (top), hemispheres (bottom), and Mercator's Projection (cusp). The pictorial title cartouche features the four female representations of the continents, Venus in a seashell, and frolicking mermaids. Engraved by Giraldon and published by Malte-Brun.
