This beautifully engraved, Italian map is based on Arrowsmith's similar map of the United States. The new Territory of Mississippi takes in present-day Mississippi and Alabama. Spain is still in control of Florida. The large, unnamed Northwest Territory is filled with Indian names. Forts, frontier settlements, and native villages are noted including Miniere di Piembo, and Kickapoo Town. There are few place names west of the Mississippi, which is labeled Luigiana. Published in Milan by Pietro and Giuseppi Vallardi. Below neatline at right "Deposto alla I.C. Bibblioteca."
