This scarce double-hemisphere world map appeared in Morden's terrific small format Geography Rectified, published by John Seller. It depicts California as an island, and a massive Florida dominates the south in the present-day United States. The northwest coast of North America is vaguely defined, with a stretch of coastline spanning the North Pacific, extending towards another partial landmass called Terra Iesso. Australia's coast is incomplete, and New Zealand is a fragment of coastline. In Africa, the classic Ptolemaic origin of the Nile is depicted. The Caspian Sea is misshaped, and a version of the mythical Chiamay Lacus appears in the vicinity of Tibet as an unnamed lake radiating several rivers to the south. The conjectural southern continent appears as The Land of Parrots or Terra Incognita. The spandrels are filled with allegorical vignettes representing the seasons, and there is a blank cartouche at bottom.
