This leaf from an Italian missal is printed in red and black ink, in two columns. The missal is a service book containing the texts necessary for the performance of the Catholic mass (including chants, prayers, and readings), together with ceremonial directions. The text here covers the December feasts of the saints Sabbas the Sanctified and Nicolas. Both saints are pictured in small woodblock engravings incorporated into the text. Page number is CCIII. Printed in Venice.
