This inventive title page was drawn by Johann Degler and engraved by Joseph a Montelegre. It centers on a statue of a female figure representing Austria on a tall plinth, with two men bowing before the statue and flanking a banner in Latin that translates as: "While Turkish impiety had disturbed Hungary for so many years, Austrian piety has now restored it." A battle scene representing the Great Turkish War is visible in the far background, while hard-working Hungarians complete the scene, harvesting crops, mining for gold, fishing, and making wine. Hungary had been repeatedly conquered by the Ottoman Empire, which was finally ousted from Hungary by the Habsburg Monarchy during the Great Turkish War.
