An attractive map of the region north of the Equator. The Nile rises from two small lakes in the Monts de la Lune. Includes a decorative title cartouche and is surrounded in an elaborately engraved rococo style border, which is printed from a separate copperplate.

References:

Condition: B+

A nice impression with contemporary color and light foxing confined to the blank margins. There is faint toning along the centerfold and edges of the sheet. Trimmed by the bookbinder with loss of a bit of the decorative border at top center.
