This scarce Italian map of the Persian Empire is filled with detail and stretches from the Black Sea to the Indian Ocean. The Caspian Sea is shown in an odd, round shape that extends more east to west than north to south. The decorative title cartouche features a Persian man and weaponry. Engraved by George Widman.

Contemporary outline color on a watermarked sheet that is lightly toned with some faint dampstains and a few manuscript notations along the bottom border. A 1.5" centerfold separation at bottom has been closed on verso with archival materials.
