Designed by Calvino, this charming map centers on a bird's-eye plan view of Florence. Streets are clearly delineated and identified, and places of interest are marked with small architectural illustrations. The Piazzale Michelangelo, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Santa Maria Novella, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, and more are located. The map extends beyond the city to show the roads to neighboring towns. On verso is informative text for the tourist. Originally published by R. Bartolini as an accompaniment to a tourist guide issued in several editions. Tucks into a stiff paper sleeve.
