This handsome map of Italy includes Corsica and Sardinia. There are a number of place names along the coasts and a long mountain range extends the entire length of Italy. Decorated with five sailing ships and a strapwork title cartouche. Engraved by Merian and published in Johann Angel von Werdenhagen’s De Rebus Publicis Hanseaticis.

Condition: B+

A sharp impression on a bright sheet with a watermark of interlocking Cs. There is light soiling, a bit of toning along the centerfold, and a few extraneous crease adjacent to the centerfold.
