This decorative map is centered approximately on Nuremberg, extending to include the cities of Forchheim, Neustadt an der Aisch, Greding, and Sulzbach-Rosenberg. The map is filled with hundreds of tiny towns, with larger cities denoted by a miniature castle and accompanied by the coat of arms. Along the sides of the map are larger arms of 17 cities in the region. The superb title cartouche features several river gods and Cybele holding a miniature statue of Mercury.
