This map of southwestern Germany shows the region around Lake Constance, extending into Switzerland. The Danube River cuts across the center of the map. Hundreds of tiny towns are identified, and an abundance of topographical and political information is presented. Two decorative allegorical cartouches fill the left corners featuring Mercury, soldiers, a river god and a cornucopia. An early example, prior to the addition of Homann's privilege.

A nice impression with full contemporary color on a sheet with light soiling, light toning along the centerfold, and a long centerfold separation that has been archivally repaired.
