This attractive map of Wiltshire features a double-column at left containing the armorial of the Earls of Wiltshire and surmounted by the title cartouche flanked by two gentlemen. On the opposite side of the map are the royal coat of arms, a small cartouche naming the kings of ancient Britain who are buried at Stonehenge, and the distance scale, which is decorated with a depiction of surveyors. The map is filled with details of cities, villages, hills, forests and residences. Spanish text on verso, published between 1658-62.

A crisp impression with full contemporary color. There is some light mat burn just outside of the map borders.
