This blue ink map was created by the State Highway Commission and printed and distributed by "The Convention and Publicity Bureau" of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. The dense highway network in the state is presented with a legend at left further identifying paved roads, surface roads, and others including “Graded Earth (Impassable Wet Weather).” The verso features many attractive illustrations of landmarks in Austin with corresponding promotional text. This early map was published 6 years before the State Highway Department would produce its first "official" highway map. Self-folding (4.2 x 9.6").
