The handsome promotional brochure is filled with color illustrations, promotional text, and two maps including a centerfold Map of the Lower Florida Keys (4.5 x 15.3") and a lovely single-map pictorial map entitled The Coral isle of Key West that "was engraved on a miraculous scale by AJ Dornbush." Both of these maps show the Florida East Coast railroad reaching Key West. The brochure was a product of the Key West Administration established by the state in 1934 under the New Deal to govern Key West after the city went bankrupt and 80% of its population was on government support. The experiment was highly successful in establishing Key West as a tourist destination. Promotional efforts as shown in this brochure led to a doubling of tourism in a short time. Issued by Grange Publishing Co. in St. Cloud, Florida. Paper wrappers with an art deco illustration on the front wrapper.
