This lively pictorial map celebrating the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games was drawn by David Andrade, published by West Coast Ventures and printed by Scott & Scott. It covers the region from the San Fernando Valley (Fer Surr!) south to Newport Beach and east to the Inland Empire, and is absolutely teeming with illustrations that celebrate both the city and the games. Local attractions include Marine Land, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Hollywood, Magic Mountain, the Rose Bowl, along with numerous businesses who likely sponsored the map. Various Olympic sport sites are noted by athletes donning red, white and blue uniforms including a baseball player at Dodger Stadium, volleyball player at Long Beach, horseback riding at Santa Anita, and a cyclist (on a tricycle) at the velodrome. Traffic jams appear on almost all highways while a jet blasts off from LAX appearing to begin a loop-de-loop. The floating title cartouche sits atop a buoy east of Catalina Island. According to the copyright notice, this is the second edition of the map.
