This small guidebook published by the National Automobile Club is filled with information on automobile touring in California. Following a 23-page service guide and mileage tables, there are a total of 91 single-page maps including: an index map of the state; 25 detailed maps covering the entire state with parts of Oregon and Nevada; 26 maps of the “main trunk highways”; 27 strip maps “of the main laterals”; and 12 folding "California District Maps" with maps of tours and most with text on facing page highlighting points of interest and history. An early edition of a short-lived publication that began in 1925 after the Club’s establishment in 1924. Loose leaf binder with faux leather covers and gilt-stamped logo of the Club on the front cover.

Good to very good overall with a small dampstain on a few pages and minor soiling, particularly on the title page and last map. Covers are worn along the edges.
