This handsome pictorial map of the United States is densely filled with illustrations. Chase chooses to emphasize grand structures on the map including state capitols, government buildings, and skyscrapers along with points of interest, titans of industry, agriculture, and more. A few sites that caught this cataloger's eye were the New York City skyline, cotton picking in Georgia and Alabama, oil drilling in east Texas, a Zeppelin hovering over Nebraska, and Hoover Dam in Nevada. Additional points of interest line the borders including Natural Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the Mission at San Antonio, and much more. The composition is completed by sailing ships in the oceans, a decorative border with symbols of agriculture in the corners, and a title cartouche held aloft by a bald eagle. Signed by Chase in pencil at bottom.
