This chart focuses on Placentia and Argentia harbors on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland. The French fort, village, and battery are shown at the harbor entrance. These harbors were used to overwinter fleets, and the harbors are so marked. Published by Arkstee and Merkus in 1756.

A sharp impression on a bright, watermarked sheet with a tiny fold separation in the top margin, a couple of small stains in the bottom margin, and remnants of hinge tape on verso.
