An attractive steel engraved map that is filled with political and topographical detail throughout. Alaska is Russian America, Nebraska extends to Utah, the Dakota Territory encompasses Montana, and Washington is in its inverted "L" shape. New Mexico encompasses Arizona and Oklahoma is entirely Indian Territory. Surrounded by a decorative border. The copyright is dated 1855 but the map was published circa 1862.
