This annual report provides excellent coverage on the Spanish-American War and features 20 folding maps, including Cuba (8 maps), Puerto Rico (5), and the Philippines (5). Of particular interest is the map of Manila y sus Arrabales (22 x 13"), which covers Manila and its suburbs with a legend locating by number military, civilian and religious buildings. Also of interest is the large, colored, and highly detailed map of Cuba Part of Chart "E" (Special Edition) (17 x 41") that shows the "Line of Col. Escarios march into Santiago," Cuban positions, and various headquarters of Spanish forces. The volume includes the reports of General Nelson Miles and many others that describe in detail the army’s strategy and execution battle by battle. 676 pages, a number of full-page illustrations, and folding maps. Rebound in modern cloth over stiff paper boards with hand-printed title on spine.
