This atlas was designed to illustrate the world described in Greek and Latin classics and the Old Testament. It contains a total of 33 single-page and 3 double-page maps of Europe and parts of Asia and Africa. The double-page maps include the ancient world, Canaan, and the Roman Empire. The atlas features nice single-page maps of Jerusalem, Greece and Sicily, an allegorical title page, and a double-page "Succession of Bishops with the Alterations of Dioceses at Different Times in England." Published at No. 58, Cornhill, London.

References: Shirley (BL Atlases) T.WILK-3a.
