This historical map focuses on the political divisions of Asia in the year 232 AD. As the title references, it depicts China during the Three Kingdoms period, identifying Royaume de Chou han (Shun Han), Royaume de Goei (Cau Wei), and Royaume de Ou (Eastern Wu). A green line illustrates the Japanese conquests on 260. The map extends to show most of Europe in the west, with the Empire Romain delineated. In 232, the Roman Empire was engaged in the Roman-Persian Wars. Egypt and Libya are located as well with little detail aside from a few scattered place names. An uncommon and unusual map by the traveler Julius Heinrich von Klaproth.

A sharp impression with contemporary outline color. There is light foxing and a few edge tears in the top blank margin that have been closed with archival tape on verso.
