This map covers the northern coast of mainland Scotland including the town of Tongue in the historic county of Sutherland along with part of Caithness to its east. A number of tiny towns are identified, and lochs, mountains and forests are graphically depicted. The map is adorned with a title cartouche celebrating the rich fishing and farming traditions, as well as a distance scale and empty dedication cartouche surrounded by putti. Published in Blaeu's atlas of Scotland. Dutch text on verso, published in either 1654 or 1662.
