This scarce treasure map was drawn by C.J. Pajot and published by Algomah Instrument Company, which was owned and operated by F.L. Coffman. It locates and provides details on 101 sites both on land and in the water where treasure is to be found. The rudimentary map is well researched with better descriptions that typical treasure maps. For example, site #2 notes "The 'Rio de Janiero' sunk 1901 in San Francisco Bay with $8,000,000" and site #54 states that "The Newton Gang buried $400,000 in bank loot just north of San Antonio, Tex. & bandits killed by possee and the loot never found." Coffman spent his life investigating some 42,000 suspected locations of treasure and authenticating 3,500 sites he recorded in his Atlas of Treasure Maps ( NY: T. Nelson, 1957). Blank verso.
