A highly detailed street map of Houston by the Ashburn Map Company, whose maps are distinctive for their use of bright coloring. Extends to include Jacinto City, Pasadena, South Houston, and Bellaire. A decorative map title features the Houston skyline and oil derricks. Verso contains a map of the greater Harris County area, text indicating points of interest, and an extensive street index. Self-folding (4.0 x 9.5") with an aerial view of downtown. Published by the Houston Chamber of Commerce. At the time, Houston’s population was about 700,000.

A colorful example with a few tiny splits at the fold junctions and a 0.5" section of minute loss along a lower left fold (just below Riverside Terrace). Issued folding.
