This large Civil War map extends west to include portions of Kansas, Indian Territory and Texas to beyond Houston. There is considerable detail throughout including county names and numerous railroads. A legend at right uses symbols to identify war-related elements including battlefields, forts, and military routes as well as state capitals, courthouses, canals, and more. Two insets at bottom feature portions of Texas and southern Florida. Engraved by Oliver J. Stuart.

Issued folding and now flat with professional repairs along the fold lines with some related minor image loss. A 2" x 3" section at left has been replaced in facsimile.
