This superb map of southern Italy is filled with detailed information, including fortresses, cities, villages, mountains, volcanoes, etc. The beautiful title cartouche is composed of the arms of the various provinces held aloft by putti, which is counterbalanced by the scale of miles featuring the arms of Naples. This is the second state of the map.

References: Carhart #43.2.

Condition: B+

A crisp impression with an archivally repaired 3.5" centerfold separation at left along with a related 1" tear and small abrasion. There is an extraneous crease along the centerfold and a pair of small faint dampstains along the top and bottom border.
