This is a very finely detailed map of the much-disputed area of lower Silesia. The map is oriented with north to the left, with Glogau at center. Breslaw (Wroclaw) is shown as the capital. The extensive key provides symbols for cities, fortifications, churches, universities, vineyards, mines, monasteries, and much more. The map is attributed to the Silesian cartographer Jonas Scultetus (1603-1664), who worked for both Jansson and Blaeu preparing maps of the region. It is richly adorned with coats of arms and strapwork cartouches. The title cartouche includes a dedication to Georgius, Ludovicus and Christianus, the dukes of Silesia. Spanish text on verso, published between 1659-72.
