This is the northwestern sheet of a 4-sheet map of the German Empire, focusing on western Germany, the Low Countries, and part of England. The map is densely engraved with tiny towns, political boundaries, rivers, and forests, and includes a dedication cartouche to the Ambassador to the Republic of Venice.

A nice impression with contemporary color, light soiling, a faint dampstain along the centerfold at bottom, and a few small worm holes in the bottom margin.
