This pictorial map celebrating the history of the Fox River Valley was published by the Oshkosh Museum Auxillary. It covers the region from Portage east to Sheboygan and north to Green Bay and is filled with illustrations showing historical events, important sites, wildlife and natural features. Copious notations add context to the map including "Father Marquette and Joliet complete the portage and go to seek the Mississippi 1673," "Indian traditions say the Fox River follows the trail of a huge serpent," and "Juliette Kinzie was the first white woman to travel overland from Green Bay to Ft. Winnebago 1832." Additional illustrations line the decorative border in chronological order and a small profile at bottom shows the elevation change from Portage to Green Bay. Printed by Castle-Pierce Printing Company in Oshkosh.
