Oriented with north to the right, this map depicts the western portion of Guadeloupe, also known as Basse-Terre. The island is divided into parishes, with the exception of the mountainous region in the center. There is good detail of the towns, villages, and even roads along the coast. Adorned with a rococo cartouche.
