An attractive map of Staffordshire with insets of Stafford and Litchfield in the top corners, each with a key to important locations. The map is divided into hundreds and shows good detail of cities, towns and villages, rivers and forests. At left there is an illustration and description of the Battle of Blore Heath, an early engagement in the War of the Roses (1455-87). The map is decorated by strapwork cartouches and coats of arms from the region. Imprint of John Sudbury and George Humble at bottom center. Latin text on verso.
