This vivid map of the world by Lucien Boucher presents Air France's extensive and growing flight network, with routes radiating out from Paris to many parts of the world. Routes extend as far as Buenos Aires, Manilla, and Stockholm (with many stops in between!). This edition of the map now shows a flight linking Paris to New York via Iceland and Labrador (the first commercial flight occurred in 1946). The continents are richly illustrated with natives and wildlife, while the seas are filled with various ships, banners, marine life, and even a mermaid. Further decorated by a title cartouche featuring a hippocamp and a compass rose. Published by Perceval in Paris.
